Fun Shower Ideas

I am the oldest of 26 cousins.  When it comes to gender, we girls out number the boys by a lot!  Including my brother, there are five boys.  Because of this, I have become an expert on Wedding and baby showers.  At a past job and at events such as these, I am the game queen.  I LOVE coming up with new and interesting games and it is a necessity when you have been involved in so many showers.  In the future I may post a few more ideas, but today am going to limit it to five.  Really, I should write a book on showers.  Some of these ideas may be things you have heard of but it's nice to have a quick reference.  1.  Rice & Safety Pins This is a tricky one and better in smaller showers because it can take a while.  In a bowl put about a cup and a half to two cups of uncooked rice and add a small package of safety pins.  Blindfold your guest and see how many pins they can find in a minutes time.  It is trickier than i...

Milk Bottle Art

I got this at a thrift store for a 1.40.  As with many of my projects, I repainted it a few times before I settled on this design.  The bottle is about a foot tall and is a great accent for the wall between the two bedroom doors.  Gotta have my bright colors and black and white designs.  Sometimes when I am working on a painting project like this, I just look at it and a pattern or idea just speaks to me.  I am sure a lot of artist work this way as well.  More great ideas to come!  Stay tuned!

Art Card

I found this frame at the Goodwill for a few bucks.  I liked it because it had a handmade paper quality.  It's been gathering dust for a while now so I had to either get rid of it or do something with it.  So I went through my cards, and tried a few different ones.  This one looked the best in the frame.  I always hope that when people receive my cards that they display them.  Many store bought cards also have a great artistic quality. Why not frame it up and show off the artwork. This frame is for a 5 x 7 picture and the card is approximately 4 x 6, but the whole frame is made out of the same material so it doesn't really need a mat.
