Creative Dawn

I am sooo tired!  Deciding on a project today wasn't easy, after work I am exhausted and sometimes uninspired.  The ideas are in my head, but the energy to complete them isn't there.  YAWN!  This is a combo project.  The frame was .97 from Walmart, the puzzle was a buck or two from a thrift store, I always have the felt on hand and finally the pin was something that belonged to my grandma.  Originally the puzzle caught my eye at the store because of the colors.  It has oranges and blues, a color contrast that I really like.  After picking through the pieces and gathering most of the orange, I hot glued them to the frame.  This black felt is really cool, it's textured and it was .10 for the square.  After attaching it, I decided that it needed one small finishing touch.  A beautiful 'D' pin that was given to me by my grandma.  Her name was Dorothy and mine is Dawn, so naturally it was passed down to me.  What...

 The Fleur De Lis was a sweater clip that I removed the clip from.   I love to wear necklaces and have quite a few, but if you buy them frequently, it can get expensive.  Usually I peruse the clearance racks and find a lot for a very good price, but sometimes, I just look in my jewelry box.  Many years ago when my Grandmother passed away, I inherited some of her costume jewelry.  Very cool stuff, but a lot of pins and clip on earrings.  I did wears some of the pins, but they aren't as versatile as a necklace.  What I did was to remove the pin backs and slip them on chains.  I got so many compliments and people always asked where I got them.  It is also a great way to pass down things to the next generation.
